One of the shots taken at the Big Day Out Festival ([link]) here in Perth. This was during The Mars Volta's set and they had to be one of my highlights... pure psychedelic improvisation... amazing onslaught of raw energy that was humbling to watch. I'm still wondering whether the drummer was in fact a robot. Was amusing to see a few people walking away going "They didnt play *insert track name* 
" Its not like it was a suprise that they didnt do the generic setlist type performance... shouldve known prior what to expect from their live performance/journey.
